Kevin’s intuitive approach means he is constantly experimenting with processes and materials, exploring possibilities within form and achieving a meticulously executed end-result.
Recent work includes Dripscape series of wall-based sculptures, each consisting of hundreds of balls, hand-dipped in paint and then formed into a Fibonacci-inspired spiral relief, resembling a fluid action.
Constellation is an evolving series of experimental kinetic sculptures exploring the phenomena of clusters hovering in space. Latest works explode with colour, referencing the moment a cluster of stars collide - a split second moment in time.

Dripscape is a series of wall-based sculptures that each consists of nearly 800 horizontally projecting spheres. Every individual sphere on Cosmic Whirl has been hand-dipped in metallic paint, hung and left to drip-dry, then collectively formed into a relief.
Cosmic Whirl displays a spiral pattern across its surface, creating uniform flow and movement. This references growth structure found in nature, which had been explored by the mathematician Fibonacci.

It is naturally kinetic as passing air flows through the negative space within its hovering form and light projects a moving chaotic shadow on surrounding surfaces.

Astrolix is a group of five spatial forms that float off the surface of a wall. Each one investigates future forms - things you might encounter out there in space - forms we don’t know about yet. Embodying fluid dynamics they explore our perceptions of solids and liquids, morphing together the industrial surfaces and materials of science fiction and rocket science with the iridescent colours and organic forms of asteroids and meteorites.
The nature of space also marries with the nature of earth. Astrolix reminds you of earthly structures – like the barrel-roll movement of a wave, the energetic cut of a bullet or the curvaceous twist of a shell. Fundamentally, Astrolix is a sculptural investigation – a celebration of our being on this planet and our inquisitive persistence in determining what else is out there – what forms are out there?
