DISPOSABLE UNIVERSE EXHIBITION A BIG SUCCESS

Disposable Universe show

Kevin’s solo exhibition of sculpture and drawing, entitled Disposable universe, was a big success.

Held at up-and-coming contemporary gallery Space Station Sixty-five in East Dulwich, London, the show attracted over 1000 visitors and a number of sales during its June/July 2004 duration.

Osmond's third solo show explored the organic potential of disposable products, whereby consumables such as paperclips, tile spaces, takeaway containers and insulation foam are rescued from their intended throwaway function and transformed into intricate artworks.

Many viewers stated that the artworks changed their perception of everyday objects - that they could see natural references in the work and felt connected with it.
